NULS African Ambassador Application and Plan for Q3 (July - September 2019)
Dear NULS community,
I am very happy to be able to apply for NULS ambassador for the African Region for Q3 of 2019, and delighted that with the new change of rules, that if I can get the community support, I can become ambassador along side many other ambassadors from many different regions and that we do not need to compete for your vote but actually cooperate together to make NULS progress.
So here is what I have been doing for NULS the past 3 months and what is my plan for the next three months , should I be elected ambassador for the African region:
The past 3 months:
1- Grown the NULS Blockchain Africa facebook community to 329 people currently and growing.
2- On the 1st of April , I attended a 1 day event organised by the Mauritius Africa Fintech hub as an attendee:
3- Organised the 3rd event of the 3 event series sponsored by NULS at the Hive Tamarin, please see link below for details:
4- Hosted and Speaked at the Mauritius Blockchain Meet up as NULS ambassador for the session entittled "Blockchain 101" on the 25 th April 2019.(No sponsorship possible for this event)
5- Attended and networked in the April / May sessions of Blockchain Social hours, a monthly event organised by the Mauritius Blockchain Meet up group.
So this is my plan for the Next 3 months, should I be elected as NULS ambassador:
1- In discussion to Speak a the "Mauritius Blockchain Meet up" Speaker series #4 in the 3rd Thursday of June 2019 with the theme "Blockchain 202". There is no sponsorship possible so far for this event as it is supposed to stay an "agnostic" one, but my plan is to talk about the future possible uses of Blockchain on the NULS platform , of course, through the article I wrote on steemit: Why the World needs NULS now
2- I would continue to grow the NULS african community organically with a target of 500 by the end of Sept 2019
3- I would continue to attend local Blockchain / Fintech events, specially the World Blockchain STO summit organised by Gulf Excellence on the 31 st July 2019. Tickets cost USD 200 - 250 . By joinning the Mauritius Africa Fintech hub, I will try to join in as a Speaker for maybe a "Blockchain Basic by NULS". The good thing is that this summit is being organised in Mauritius.
Part of local events are the monthly " Blockchain Social Hour", "Blockchain Meet ups: Speaker series" and other general Networking event in the fintech and also general networking events.
4- I would attend the Annual African Blockchain conference , organised in Uganda this year to network, spread the NULS brand / concept and also try to pinpoint potential NULstars for Uganda. Tickets for this event cost USD 120, but it is the flight there that might be a bit expensive (around USD 1000), so most of the July budget would go towards that trip. I think it is worth it as it is one of the biggest Regional events of the year and Uganda is also , like Mauritius growing very fast in the Blockchain / Crypto Asset industry.
5- I would also attend the Cryptofest , organised by Bitcoin events in Cape Town South Africa, a 1 day event on the 7th September 2019. I would go as a attendee but also try to apply to be a speaker with my "Why the World needs NULS" article. Any Exposure there would be great, and I would also look for a potential NULstar for South Africa. Tickets cost around USD 30, and the air fare around USD 600. I think that this trip is also important as South Africa is the most mature and developed market in terms of Blockchain and Crypto Assets. I made some good contacts last time I was there and intend to keep building relationships there.
6- One of my goals also for mid JULY 2019 is to go visit the NULS head quarters in Chong Qing as part of a business trip I am taking in Asia (This trip is SELF funded by the way), with the aim to meet with the team, understand even more about NULS and coming developments and also do some short videos of the NULS visit for youtube and the NULS community.
So here you go, I hope that this 3 months plan is ambitious enough, any comments welcome. Thank you for your support in advance.
I think I have to select a council member to back my candidacy for NULS African Ambassador, @reaper or @Siwei, could you back my proposal?
